Spinitar attended InfoComm’22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the largest technology exhibition and conference in North America focused on the pro-AV industry. This exhibition is produced by the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA), currently ranked as the 28th largest trade show in the United States by Trade Show Executive.

Attendees come to this expo in hopes of gathering information about the latest technology and information about hot topics from others.

"An experience of 3 years in the making. That's right. The last time InfoComm was attended by all, in Las Vegas, was 1 month before my start date at Spinitar. And the wait was well worth it. Not only did I gain product knowledge, but I was able to meet so many colleagues and partners that I had, previously, only communicated with through email. Seeing our industry in full bloom left such a deep impression on me. And being able to connect with others in ‘The Entertainment Capital of the World’ made it much more memorable. I can't wait for 2023!" - Peter Grogan, Spinitar Account Manager

Training

If you are interested in earning your CTS, this was the perfect event to prepare you for the exam. InfoComm offers AV-specific training, with over 100 hours of workshops, seminars, manufacturer training, multiple-day courses, and free sessions on the technology innovation stage.

AV Products

InfoComm 2022 showcased a broad range of all the latest technology available for AV professionals who need to juggle multiple systems in a diverse range of environments, whether that's wayfinding on campus and projection in the lecture hall or digital menu boards combined with an incredible sound system.

“No doubt LED has completely taken over as a display technology, offering lots of design flexibility, beautiful experiences for viewers, and now more affordable than ever before!” - Jeff Irvin, Spinitar Principal.

“The highlight of the show for me was Planar's virtual production set. Showing a creative and visually impressive virtual set utilizing direct view LED really showed the 'wow' factor of low dot pitch LED video walls. It’s seriously impressive how far the technology has come and the opportunity that now presents itself in implementing that technology.“ - Shaun Devault, Spinitar Systems Designer.

This tradeshow included pavilions specific for audio, digital signage, events and entertainment, and conferencing and collaboration. It was exciting to see all these AV solutions in person and discover how they are able to accelerate productivity with innovations that make hybrid work and learning easier and more efficient than ever.

"Going back to InfoComm again was amazing. It's been a few years since my last visit and there is a lot of cool stuff out in the hybrid work from home area to help tackle the new world we live in and create seamless experiences for our customers." - Brian Stefaniak, Spinitar Systems Designer.

"It was great to see many new lines of products coming out and I'm excited to implement them in our projects! From a new PM standpoint, I was more eager to meet the reps to see who I'm communicating with through email and build that relationship!" - Dustin Sisco, Spinitar Project Manager.

Networking

InfoComm 2022 was the perfect place to meet like-minded AV professionals and catch up with colleagues! The expo offered a variety of ways to connect, including special events for live events pros, higher ed tech managers, the AVIXA Women’s Council Breakfast, and a new reception just for those interested in digital signage.

“All the tech at InfoComm was fun to be around, but I have to say that it is the relationships in this industry and being amongst all of my AV friends this past week…that is what I really enjoyed! The PSNI breakfast was certainly a highlight of the week … being around other CSP’s and PSP’s from North America and those that attended from around the world, along with our terrific PVP’s who make it all possible.” - Jeff Irvin, Spinitar Principal.

“It was my first InfoComm, and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it! I have been in the AV industry for only about two months, and this was the perfect opportunity to get a tangible grasp of all the trends in technology and networking opportunities. I loved meeting new people, and I actually feel much closer to my team after attending this event. It was also very exciting to finally meet some of the manufacturers I had been in contact with over the last few weeks! This was a great bonding experience, and I can’t wait to go back next year!” - Bea Lim, Spinitar Content Marketing Specialist.

"It was amazing to see everyone back in Las Vegas after 4 years of being gone. The Spinitar team looked amazing in their Spinitar attire. As always, too much to see and take in! Networking, networking, and more networking was the theme. It was great to catch up with everyone!" - Jay Rogina, Spinitar Principal.

InfoComm is an enjoyable once-a-year opportunity to see new products, find the most AV training offered anywhere, and grow your professional network. Spinitar looks forward to seeing everyone again next year in Orlando, Florida for InfoComm 2023.
